          David W. Bercot (pronounced as David Berçot; born April 13, 1950) is an Anabaptist Christian church historian,[1] attorney,[2] author, and international speaker from the United States.[3] He has written various books and magazine articles about early Christianity and Christian discipleship.[4] His two best-known works are Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up?, and the Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs. Bercot completed his theological education at the University of Cambridge and was subsequently ordained as an Anglican priest before joining fellowship with Conservative Anabaptists, whom he believed to best embody the practices of early Christianity.[5][6]
